SMART campaign scenario The best
method for describing the SMART product is by walking through a SMART
marketing campaign scenario: 1.
Before every campaign period, the cellular operator defines a
comprehensive list of price plans and offers for other cellular services
which can be proposed to subscribers. Examples for potential offers: ·
Air time price plans ("X minutes of air time per month for
$Y") ·
Text messages - SMS - price plans ("X messages per month for
$Y" or
"free X messages for non-users") ·
Downloads ("X games for $Y" or "
X ringtones for $Y"….) ·
Handsets upgrades ·
Call “xxx” for Weather Updates 2.
The cellular operator can define also distribution constraints for
some of the offers. Some common examples are: ·
Offer x can only be offered to a subscriber who didn’t send any
text message (SMS) in the last three months (it doesn’t mean that
everyone who didn’t send any text message in the last three months will
receive the proposal) ·
Offer y shall be sent to more than 30,000 subscribers, but less than
50,000 ·
Offer z must be sent to all women under the age of 40 celebrating
their birthday this month and only in case that their average monthly bill
was higher than $80 during the previous 6 months. 3.
SMART uses its sophisticated Data Mining engine and AI (Artificial
Intelligence) capabilities to analyze subscribers' historic data in order to
match for every subscriber the best offers, under the predefined constraints.
The matching process optimizes the campaign targets defined by the cellular
operator. The campaign targets include: ·
Increase operator's revenues. ·
Increase subscriber’s loyalty ·
Subscribers' retention ·
Exposing subscribers to unused relevant services. 4.
Based on subscriber's response to past proposals and other features,
SMART is suggesting the best distribution channel for every proposal for each
subscriber, in order to maximize the response rate. Some of
the distribution channels used in SMART campaigns: ·
Messages printed on the bottom of the monthly bill ·
Text messages (SMS) ·
Multi Media Messages (MMS)
