Noam Ron – CEO
While heading up a data mining R&D team for a leading medical diagnostics systems company, Noam developed the data mining tool that now forms the backbone of Sagarmatha’s technology solution. Realizing the potential for the tool in the field of personalized marketing, Noam founded Sagarmatha in 1999 and has lead the company ever since. He is a graduate (cum laude) of the Faculty of Physics at Tel Aviv University, where he was selected to participate in a special excellence program.
In addition to data mining, Noam’s hobbies include travelling, hiking, and his real first love, mountain climbing.
Moty Bank – Chairman
Moty held top management positions at the Strauss/Elite Group for seven years - two years as a director of the Food Division at Strauss and five years as the national sales manager at Elite. He holds an MBA in operational research and a BS in computer science and mathematics from Tel Aviv University. He also has extensive retail experience.
Outside of his professional life, Moty’s interests include good food and international travel.
Shmulik Kaplan - Vice President , Software Development
Prior to joining Sagarmatha, Shmulik worked at Eyron LTD, where he served as Project Manager. He later joined Elbit Defense Systems as head of the Helicopter Avionic System Definition Team, and went on to join Sagarmatha on its founding in 1999, where he has been instrumental in defining the software and database infrastructures for the company’s products. He is also responsible for managing all software development.
Shmulik is a graduate (BSc.) in physics and computer science from Bar Ilan University, and enjoys long distance running.
Asaf Efrima - Vice President, Retail Applications
Asaf joined Sagarmatha in 2005 as a senior algorithm developer and was recently promoted to Vice President. Prior to Sagarmatha, he was a researcher at the IBM R&D labs. Asaf holds an MSc (summa cum laude) degree in computer science and applied mathematics from the Weizmann institute of Science, and a BSc (summa cum laude) in computer science from Tel-Aviv University.
Asaf enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities, from skiing in the Alps to trekking in the Negev desert
Yael Bdolah-Cnaan - Vice President, Telecom Applications
With over 14 years of experience, Yael is responsible for providing advanced data mining services to Sagarmatha’s Telecom customers. Prior to joining Sagarmatha, Yael held the position of Senior Software Engineer at ART Advanced Recognitions (acquired by Nuance), where she had developed handwriting and speech recognition algorithms.
Yael is a graduate (cum laude) of the Faculty of Mathematics at Tel-Aviv University (Statistics & Computer Science) and enjoys reading books and hiking.
Rob Cohen - Vice President , Sales and Marketing
Rob has 15 years of rich experience in the retail and consumer products field, having sold products, solutions and consulting services to leading retail chains worldwide. Up until 2007, Rob served as VP Business Development for Daymon Worldwide, a global leader in private brand development and consumer interactions. More recently, he has successfully helped a number of Israeli breakthrough technologies with early sales, including Freshpoint and, Feedbox.
Born and raised in South Africa, Rob has a bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. His interests include running, playing and watching soccer, and trying to keep up with new age consumer technologies.
D. Charles Jackson - Advisory Board Member
Charles Jackson has been instrumental in the startup, product development, turnaround and commercial growth of several technology and retail companies. He formerly served as president and ceo of Pricer AB (PRIC B), a wireless technology company, securing its first profitable years since start up and extending its reach worldwide. From 2002 to 2007, Charles served as vice president of sales and marketing directing the company’s most significant growth phase.
From 1997 to 2001, he was general manager of Boston Retail France, leading several strategic initiatives and product developments worldwide. Prior to Boston, as vice president of sales and marketing for Telesystem Europe, Charles directed a team to start up French and Benelux operations, establishing network infrastructures and sales offices nationwide, as well as securing dozens of license agreements. In the early ‘90s, Charles co-founded Smartfax obtaining patents in fax transmission line sharing and developing stand alone products for retailers such as Radio Shack and OEM imbedded solutions. In addition, he founded Flexi-Kits, a home products company establishing markets with Costco, Home Hardware and Home Depot. From 1985 to 1989, Charles started his career as assistant to the president of one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious hull underwriting companies working in offices worldwide.
He holds a B.B.A from Bishop’s University and pursued graduate international law studies at Mc Gill University as well as completed the CFA institute AIMR designation.
