The Challenge:
One of the world's leading credit card companies, which sends 3-9 coupons a
month to every cardholder, seeks to deliver more relevant benefits to
cardholders and better promotional response to their merchant partners using
a targeted coupon campaign.
The Solution:
Sagarmatha's PPB-CC system analyzed the company's
cardholder database and produced an optimized set of 3-9 personalized coupons
for each customer, chosen out of more than 100 potential promotional offers.
The target function, as defined by the company, was to maximize coupon
redemption.
The Result after 2 Months:
Coupon redemption was 10 times higher than with the control group (which
received the non-targeted incentives) and the sales of participating businesses
increased.
